RAs are Resident Assistants. They are students we recruit each year to assist us in the management of halls, particularly outside of office hours.
They can help you with issues you may face if Accommodation Services is not open, and you will be able to find their contact details on posters in the kitchen area of your flat.
RAs can assist with noise or any antisocial activities, first aid, and help to resolve any disputes there may be with flat mates and neighbours. They cannot fix maintenance issues, give financial advice or clean for you. In general, they are there to assist you in making the most of your time in halls and support the community of residents. If they cannot assist you directly they will always try and direct you to someone who can help.
