You can submit an academic appeal once you have received the outcome of the decision that you want to appeal.

If you’re on a taught programme you can appeal:

• the outcome of an Extenuating Circumstances claim

• a Progression and Award Board decision (your results)

• an Academic Offences Panel decision

If you're a Postgraduate Research student you can appeal:

• a Faculty Research Degrees Committee decision to discontinue registration

• the outcome of an upheld allegation of research misconduct

• the outcome of a transfer viva

• the outcome of a transfer assessment from the taught to the research phase of the Professional Doctorate

• the outcome of a formal oral examination for a final award

We also have a website which is a fantastic resource for all the questions and concerns that you might have about the Academic Appeals Procedure.
