What an achievement! You've gone through your viva! Your examiners have probably already spoken to you and shared the result they'll be recommending to the Faculty Research Degrees Committee (FRDC). After that, it's most likely it will take between two to four weeks for you to be formally notified of the outcome. That's because the examiners need to complete their paperwork and provide a list of corrections and annotations. When this has gone across to the Research & Enterprise Training Institute (RETI), the FRDC will be asked for their review. Details of this process are given in Section L of the Postgraduate Research Student's and Supervisor's Handbook.
